About Sean Chen, M.D.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States. As a general cardiologist, my goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care to help patients live longer, healthier lives. My practice includes patients with hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart conditions, arrhythmias, and heart failure. I work collaboratively with our surgeons and subspecialists to care for patients before and after their interventions.
Dr. Chen is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Chen grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated cum laude from Duke University and earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Duke University Hospital followed by his cardiology fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center. Prior to residency, Dr. Chen completed a year of clinical research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute. He has published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology, JAMA Internal Medicine, and the American Heart Journal.
In addition to seeing patients in the office at Weill Greenberg Center, Dr. Chen serves as an attending physician in the cardiac intensive care unit, inpatient stepdown telemetry unit, and consultative cardiology service. He has a focus on cardiac imaging including echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear / PET imaging.
